Volunteer work in the profession (Special Olympics, Olympics/National Teams, race medical staff, etc.)

Contributes these activities as a certified athletic trainer over a minimum of fifteen years. Ten of these years must be active in the state of Michigan

Current MATS member if practicing in the state of Michigan

Possesses a NPI number if currently practicing as an athletic trainer
DISTINGUISHED ATHLETIC TRAINER

Currently active as an athletic trainer in the State of Michigan

Activities, contributions, and/or service which contribute to the enhancement of the profession of athletic training in the state of Michigan

Activities, contributions, and/or service which contributes to MATS

Contributes these activities as a certified athletic trainer over a minimum of ten years

Current MATS member

ATHLETIC TRAINER SERVICE AWARD

Activities, contributions, and/or service which contribute to the

enhancement of the profession of athletic training in the state of Michigan and/or MATS
-
Contributes these services as a certified athletic trainer OR an individual in support of athletic training in the state of Michigan

Nominated certified athletic trainers must be a current MATS member

Nominated certified athletic trainers must possess a NPI number
SECONDARY SCHOOLS ATHLETIC TRAINER AWARD

Currently active as an athletic trainer in the state of Michigan working in the high school setting

Demonstrates exemplary dedication and commitment to excellence in the care of high school athletes

OUTSTANDING YOUNG PROFESSIONAL

Currently active as an athletic trainer in the state of Michigan

Activities, contributions, and or/service which contribute to the enhancement of the profession of athletic training in the State
of Michigan and/or MATS -
Demonstrates exemplary leadership and the ability to inspire others in a way that directly benefits the athletic training
profession -
Is currently considered a young professional (within first 10 years of certification
